All About Eve is not exactly 'all about Eve', it is rather 'a bit', as a character in the film says: 'She will be able to tell you a bit about this subject . . .' Deleuze Cinema 2, 1989: 48a]

« All about Eve », ce n'est pas exactement « Tout sur Eve », c'est plutôt « un bout », comme le dit un personnage du film : « elle pourra vous en dire un bout sur ce thème... ». [Deleuze Cinéma 2, 1985: 69d]

[There is not a line like the one quoted. This scene here might still capture what Deleuze is trying to illustrate. The character says he will tell us all about Eve. But he only sees part of the picture. Eve is up to much more than he knows about, including her deceiving him romantically.]

[Videos should play, despite showing no image until the play button is pressed.]
